The Yad Otefet website (yadotefet.com) is committed to making its services accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Accessibility Regulations for Services (Accessibility Adjustments for a Service Provided over the Internet), 5773-2013.
Level of accessibility
The site was developed with the aim of meeting the principles of the WCAG 2.1 standard at level AA, which forms the basis of the Israeli standard IS 5568, and we work continuously to improve accessibility.
As at the date of this statement, a comprehensive accessibility audit by a certified accessibility consultant has not yet been carried out on this site, and we therefore do not declare full, certified compliance with the standard. If you encounter any difficulty, we would very much like to hear about it, and we will act to fix it.
What has been done for accessibility
- A skip-to-main-content link on every page
- A hierarchical heading structure
- Attention to colour contrast between text and background
- Labels on form fields
- Keyboard navigation
- A visible focus indicator on interactive elements
- The page language is declared (lang="en" dir="ltr" on the English pages)
- SVG graphics marked aria-hidden so that screen readers do not announce the same content twice
- Meaningful descriptions for links and images
- Support for text enlargement without loss of content
- No flashing content or aggressive animation
- Action buttons at a comfortable touch size
- An accessibility tool on the site: text enlargement, high contrast, link highlighting and an enlarged cursor
Known accessibility barriers
We work continuously to improve accessibility. There may be components on the site that have not yet been made fully accessible — among other reasons because a full professional accessibility audit has not yet been carried out. If you have had difficulty accessing any content, we would be grateful if you would report it and we will address it promptly.
